I'll
preface this by saying I've never supported space exploration. I
believe that if mankind were meant to be in space, it would be easier
to get there.
With that said, MSN is reporting
massive amounts of space debris from a collision between US and Russian
satellites sometime earlier in the week. This debris is projected to
orbit the earth for thousands of years to come and has the potential to
cause even more collisions, given the amount of satellites and the like
already in orbit.
Now there are reports of space debris falling all over Texas and sonic booms being heard and felt throughout the state.
Can you say...Andromeda Strain?
